About Me

Hey, I'm Kate! 

Welcome to Ardent Devotion, and thanks for stopping by my little corner of the internet. 

I started this blog when I was fifteen and searching for a way to express my growing relationship with Christ in the Catholic Church. I've loved sharing what the Holy Spirit is doing in the deep dark depths of my soul for more than a decade now, especially in topics surrounding vocational discernment, contemplative living, navigating secular culture, and discovering personal identity in Jesus. It's been a roller coaster and the loveliest journey in the world.

That cute redhead in the picture with me is my sweet husband Callum. He's the smartest and funniest and kindest man I know. I like him a lot a lot. We had our first baby in July 2023 and we really like her a lot too.

We call Tasmania home these days, after lives previously lived in Queensland and Hong Kong (him) and the US, New Zealand, and Queensland (me). I'm currently in the rugged middle of a PhD in English (pray for me hahaha). 

Deep and meaningfuls are my number one hobby, so if you ever want to have a heart to heart about prayer, discernment, vocation, marriage, motherhood or (gulp) academia, hit me up.
